Ambassador K D Dewal met the Director General of Cine of DR Ms. Marianna Guirilieva on 17 December 2025 and discussed collaboration in the field of films and related subjects between the two countries.
Embassy organised 'Meet the Ambassador' event at the Chancery on 10 December 2025 where Ambassador K.D. Dewal interacted with the Indian diaspora in Dominican Republic and affirmed Mission’s commitment to assist the Indian nationals in DR in provinding services as well ensuring the wellbeing of all Indians. Appreciating their contributions, Ambassador requested the Indian Diaspora to be closely in touch with Embassy and collaborate for furthering India- DR relations.

Ambassador K.D. Dewal received the President of India- DR Chamber of Commerce Mr. David Mármol on 18 November 2025, alongwith his delegation at the Embassy. Mr Marmol briefed the Ambassador about activities of the Chamber and both sides discussed future collaboration in commercial activities of the Chamber.
Shri Kishan Dan Dewal, the Ambassador designate of India to Dominican Republic received his Credentials from the Hon’ble President of India on 17 September 2025. Shri Dewal is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
