Mission Organized the 3rd edition of the Namaste India Week Festival in collaboration with Agora Mall from 20-26 Jan 2025 at the exhibition atrium of Agora Mall, Santo Domingo. Organised The Opening ceremony attended by around 100 invited guests featuring a Bharatnatyam Performance by Ms Soraya Franco and Bollywood Dance Performances by the dominican group Bellisimas Bollywood. Collaborated and liaised with Agora Mall for setting up stalls featuring Ayurvedic Products, Indian saris and jewellery, clothes and accessories stall, Two Indian restaurant stalls, Printed In India Book Stalls with books for sale by Lexus Books and Ediciones Del Caribe, Nalanda Biblioteca Reading area and Library for Kids and Adults, Sari Stall, and photo booths, Indian Cinema Corner, Indian Scholarships corner, Filming In India, Study In India, India Travel and Tourism stall etc. Coordinated complete installation and Uninstallation of the stalls and stage area and decor. Daily stage presentations were organised at Namaste India from 20th to 26th of Jan 2025, comprising Yoga Sessions, Talks, Lectures, Plays, Bhangra, Gidda and Indian Folk Dance performances from different states by the visiting ICCR Bhangra Dance Troupe during both the noon and evening timeslots, to ensure better footfall and attract visitors to the Festival atrium. These onstage performances centered around the themes of Vedic Chanting, Krishna Bhajans, Meditation, Kriya Yoga, Ayurveda, Yogasanas, and Indian Folk Dance and Bollywood performances. Rectors and top brass as well as students of various top ranking Universities in DR like UNAPEC, UNEFA, UNIREMHOS and UFHEC were in attendance for the Folk Dances shows by the ICCR troupe. A total of approx. 2500 visitors visited the Festival, which concluded in the evening of 26th Jan 2025.
