The Embassy of India, Santo Domingo wishes to inform that under Section 6 of the Indian Wireless Act and under Section 20 of the Indian Telegraph Act, carrying/use of satellite phones by foreign nationals (irrespective of category of passport) to India, without prior permission, is illegal/unauthorized.

In view of the above, all concerned are advised to follow the above advisory while visiting India.
